B&H Grecian Oval Covered Vegetable Serving Bowl Dish Green Pink Rose Floral Vintage!


This listing is for ONE oval covered vegetable dish.

This is from B&H, called "Grecian." It features a mostly white background with green and gold (lustreware) trim, with pink and yellow flowers. The auctioneer that we bought this from (a family friend) believes this is from the late 1800's. We aren't completely sure what B&H stands for (possibly Blakeman & Henderson), or that "Grecian" is the name of the pattern. If anyone has any additional information about this set of dinnerware, we would be very interested in hearing it!

This measures 12" long, including the handles. It is 8.5" wide. The bottom is stamped "B&H" around the outside of a circular logo, with "Grecian" on the inside. There is also a small area in red that is marked "679."

The majority of this piece is in great condition still. Excluding the bottom, this has no chips, no cracks, and no crazing. The pattern is not completely uniform, and neither are the pieces, though this appears to be because of the age and nature of production for something this old.

There are several chips on the base of this piece, as you can see in the pictures. The largest one is about 2" long, but these are shallow and only the outside porcelain is missing.

This set and pattern makes an excellent addition to any dinner table. If you enjoy good quality, antique china, this is definitely a set worth buying. We have tons of pieces going up in this pattern right now, so please be sure to check out all of our listings! We always combine shipping!
